This presentation discusses what elder abuse is and who can be victimized. Also discussed are the barriers for why victimized individuals do not seek help and how ageism impacts the way elder abuse is addressed. Lastly, information will be discussed on how to both prevent and/or respond to elder abuse. Tracy Curtis of the Crisis Center for South Suburbia brings us this second event in our domestic violence series. (In-person presenter)
