On the 80th anniversary of D-Day, historian Robert Mueller paints the picture of Omaha Beach on June 6, 1944 and provides insight into how and where the Normandy Invasion took place. Hear about the US 1st and 29th Infantry Divisions in the initial assault waves who overcame the German defenses, and the US 2nd Ranger Battalion who captured the German gun positions at Pointe du Hoc.
