June 7, 2025 marks the 5th annual National Teach Truth Day of Action sponsored by the Zinn Education Project. All across America, on June 7th, various events & activities are planned. The Zinn Education Project developed an interactive Teach Truth pop-up display which includes four banned books with colorful information sheets about why they were banned, plus postcards, buttons, and signs to raise awareness about the threat of anti-history education laws and book bans.
A QR code will be displayed at the info table so people can check their voter registration and information from HEAL Together about how to get involved in school boards. The American Library Association, a campaign cosponsor, has also provided 'Free People Read Freely' bookmarks to give away.
